The Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16427-204 does have a bit of a specific fit with the front bracket on your 2018 Ram 2500 (see attached photo from instructions).
If you have a specific questions about this and can provide some photos I'd be more than happy to help you look into this further!
