Recommended Disc Brake Kit for a Venture Salt Water Boat Trailer

Updated 01/19/2026 | Published 08/03/2024

Question:

I have a Titian mod 60 actuator, 7000 that has a master cylinder full of rust and is dry. Thinking of changing this, rotors and calipers and a venture salt water boat trailer. Probably new lines too. Rotors are TDE 46246, calipers 46304. Can I mount your calipers to the TDE mounting plate for simplicity. What rotors, calipers and tubing to you recommend. 22 ft boat. Thanks

John, to replace the rotors and calipers for your TDE system on your boat trailer, I recommend going with the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2R35D.

This kit includes the rotors, calipers, the mounting brackets and mounting bolts, will work with your current actuator, and has a dacromet coating for superior protection against salt water and fresh water.

The last thing you'll need is a brake line kit # 18SI-BLKIT for a single axle, or # 18TA-BLKIT for a tandem axle.

Also since you mentioned the actuator itself is bad as well, you can use the Dexter Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator # T43397007K to replace it.

Hey John, how did the swap to the Kodiak disc brake kit go on your boat trailer? Did the new rotors and calipers fit well with your setup? Your update could make it easier for others working on similar saltwater trailers.
