Can Older Demco FWH 24PA 5th Wheel Hitch Be Adapted to Fit 2024 Ram 3500 OEM Puck System

Question:

I have on old FWH 24PA 5th wheel hitch on SL mounts, I am buying a 2024 Ram 3500 long box with the factory OEM puck system. Is there an adapter frame available to allow me to use my FWH 24PA with this system or am i looking at having to purchase a new hitch?

Your Demco FWH 24PA is old enough that there isn't a way to convert it to fitting the OEM puck system on your 2024 Ram 3500 so we'll have to get you setup with a new hitch.

For a newer version of what you have, we have the 31K Demco UMS Double Pivot 5th Wheel Hitch # DM67GV which mounts directly to the factory pucks on your Ram and has some nice upgraded cushioning and performance to your current system so your towing quality is going to increase as well.

Hey Mark, how did things go with the Demco UMS Double Pivot hitch for your Ram’s puck system? Did the new setup give you the smoother towing you were hoping for? Your update could make it easier for others upgrading from older Demco hitches.
