Wishbone Wiring Length Recommendation for a 16-1/2' Boat Trailer

Question:
Do you have this same type/style of harness except in a 25foot length? Our boat is 16foot 5inch and I believe a 25foot length should be more than adequate but would consider your recommendation in that regard. Also can I assume that each side of the trailer harness is the listed length? Drivers side wires and passenger side wires are each 35foot in this example? Thanks!

Hey Dave, thanks for reaching out!
To get the 25' version of the Optronics 35' Wishbone Wiring Harness # A35W42B you need the part # A25W2GWB.
Having an extra 8-1/2' of wiring should be more than adequate for you to freely move the wiring around on your trailer to hide it and avoid moving parts so I do recommend the 25' for your 16'5" boat trailer. The 25' length is for each leg of wiring, yes.
I also recommend picking up the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector Kit # DW05744-10 so you can make your wiring connections and seal them up against water getting to them.
Attached is an installation video for you to check out.

Hey Dave, how did the 25' wishbone wiring harness work out for your boat trailer? Did the length give you enough room to route the wiring cleanly? Your feedback could help others choosing between the 25' and 35' options.
