Hello Brian, thanks for reaching out. The Equal-i-zer 4-point system is a great choice. This is one of the best, if not THE best weight distribution hitch on the market. For your trailer I recommend the following:
- Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 12,000 lbs GTW, 1,200 lbs TW # EQ37120ET
This system will work on trailers with a tongue weight between 800 and 1200 lbs. So your trailer will be right within that range to where you will see very effective sway control and weight distribution.
The Equal-i-zer systems are pretty easy to set up, but you will need a special 1-7/8" thin-walled socket # EQ70-00-4800 to properly install the hitch ball.
Also keep in mind that the lift brackets must be placed on the A-frame 27" - 32" back from the hitch ball. Please check the tongue of your trailer and verify that you will have space. You can feel free to reach out to me if you have further questions.
