Question:
I have a feather lite trailer with a v nose and most of the weight distribution hitches dont come with the right brackets and are too long to bolt on the front of the trailer. Do you have any hitches that use shorter bars and still work with sway control?

Hi David,
The weight distribution and sway control with the shortest arms have 28-3/8" long arms, the Curt Short-Arm Weight Distribution System with Sway Control # C17422 for trailers with a 1,000 -1,500 lb tongue weight, or Curt Short-Arm Weight Distribution System with Sway Control # C17322 for trailers with 800 lbs - 1,000 lb tongue weights.
If you don't have enough room for that, you can also bolt on chain hangers in place of the brackets for the Curt system with Chain Hangers for Curt Weight Distribution Systems - Bolt On # C17005.
Otherwise, your best option is going to be electronic sway control, the Tuson Trailer Sway Control System # 335TSC-1000. While this won't give you the leveling of a weight distribution system, it'll help control sway as you are towing.

Hey David, how did things work out with the Curt short-arm weight distribution setup on your Featherlite trailer? Did the shorter bars or the bolt-on chain hangers give you enough clearance at the front? Your update could make it easier for others with V-nose trailers to find the right fit.
