Question:

I bought a masterpro trailer hub kit part581750 and my grease buddy doesn’t go al the way on and I had to add 2 extra washers to get it tight for the cotter pin to work I bought it at orielys it’s 1,750 lb capacity the number on the hub is 84545 will this hub work my specs on the trailer have worn off

From what I could find, the MasterPro Hub PT581750 you have fits a Dexter #84 Spindle. This is one of the most common spindle available for a 3,500 pound axle, so there are definitely options available for replacements.

With that being said, the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3,500-lb Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 # 84545BX will definitely fit your axle and will be a great replacement. One thing to note though, the diameter of the cap that fits this hub will be 1.986 inches so I recommend double checking the diameter of the cap/fitting you will be using to make sure it will fit properly.
