Solution for a 2021 Chevy Silverado That Has a Trailer Not Getting Power to the Lights

Question:
2021 Silverado 2500HD with trailer towing app. I cant seem to get the running lights to work on my on-bed truck camper the computer doesnt see a trailer attached. Should the 7-Way Trailer Adapter for Towing Trailers with LED Lights Item C57003 cause the trucks computer to enable the running lights to operate on the camper?
