Recommended Trailer Hitch Wiring For A 2022 Hyundai Tucson

Question:
I have a 2022 Tucson. It appears that this is a quick connect to a plug under the vehicle. Your site indicates it is for vehicles with a factory tow package. I do not have a factory tow package however others state All 2022 Tucsons have a quick connect so I am good to go with simply plugging the other end in to a U-Haul trailer. So, does this harness quickly connect without a factory tow package with no wire splicing and about 20 minutes of time? Is this wiring harness and my tow hitch all I need to be ready to rent a trailer? Thanks for the time.

Hi Matt,
I can't confirm every 2022 Hyundai Tucson having the correct connector needed to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # CU94FR, but you can watch Ryan's video below and check to see if you have the necessary factory harness.
If you don't have the factory wire harness then you'll need to go with the splice-in Curt # C59236 instead. Assuming your trailer doesn't have brakes the only other thing you would need would be a ball mount. Since you are renting the trailer and wouldn't have it available to measure and compare to the height of your trailer hitch receiver I recommend going with an adjustable ball mount like the # e66PR. It offers up to a 6" rise/drop so you'll definitely be covered for any trailers that your Tucson could pull.
