Can The Advent Air RV AC Unit Replace A Dometic 15K BTU Model 459516.701C0 Rooftop Unit

Question:
My Dometic 15K BTU model 459516.701C0 is dead. I have the Dometic controller and thermostat photos 1and2 with the Dometic 6 pin plug. Will this unit in? I also have the Dometic air control picture 3. Will this work with the Advent unit to divert the flow to the ducts? Thanks, Alex

Hey Alex,
The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ACM150 would be able to replace your rooftop Dometic unit. In the second picture it looks like the wire harness has a 6-pin connector so you wouldn't need an adapter to plug it into the Dometic controller. The rooftop unit doesn't control where the air goes, it only pushes air out. The air distribution box will divert the air through ducts. Since you're keeping the thermostat and air distribution box there won't be any difference in how the system operates.
