Question:
I am looking at a hitch for my 2016 Honda Odyssey. Is the etrailer hitch the same as the Curt 13068 hitch but with a different paint finish? Thanks.

Hello Bob, thanks for reaching out. Both the Curt # C13068 and our etrailer # e98862 hitch are both confirmed top fit the 2018 Honda Odyssey. You must have a good eye, because the paint finish is the main difference between the two hitches.
Our etrailer brand hitch is made by Curt, so structurally they are identical. Our etrailer hitch uses a matte black powder coating, while the Curt hitches use a gloss black finish. We have found that the matte black powder coating is better at resisting scuffs and scratches. It will also blend better with the underbody of the car since a lot of underbody plastic panels also are matte black in color. Also, our etrailer brand hitches are usually priced a bit lower than the Curt equivalent, at least that's the idea.

Hey Bob, how did things go with the etrailer hitch on your Odyssey? Did the matte black finish look better under the vehicle like we mentioned? Your feedback could help others choosing between the two hitches.
