The Kia brand hitch requires the lower trim panel be replaced with a different panel. Does the Curt hitch require the same modification?

Hi Gary,
You do not have to replace the lower trim panel with a brand new panel on your 2024 Kia EV9 when installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C36RV.
You do need to temporarily remove the panel and trim it so the receiver of the # C36RV has a way to protrude under the vehicle, but it won't be replaced. Removing it only requires you to take off eight push fasteners as well as four nuts, so it won't be a big job at all.
I also wanted to mention, just to be thorough, that if you also need a 4-way trailer harness for your '24 EV9, the right part is the T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C66QV.
