Base Plate Kit Fitment for a 2024 Ford Expedition Timberline

Question:
I need a baseplate for a new 2024 Expedition 4X4 Timberline. I am replacing the baseplate that was previously installed on a 2003 Expedition Eddie Bauer. Is there a product that utilizes the square config of that baseplate?.

Hey Robert, thanks for reaching out!
We have a few base plate options that will work with a 2024 Ford Expedition, but only the Blue Ox Kit # BLU76CR has been confirmed to fit with the Timberline model as of right now (see update in comments).
None of them will be backwards compatible with the kit that came off of your 2003 Expedition, so you'll need to go with the whole kit to complete your setup.
Let me know what tow bar you have and I can see if we have an adapter that makes it compatible with this Blue Ox tow bar (that is, if you don't already have a Blue Ox tow bar).

Jon G, My existing tow bar is a Roadmaster Sterling All-Terrain. I understand that the Roadmaster Item no. 524431-5 will allow my tow bar to be used and has been approved for installation on the Timberline Expedition. If this is incorrect information please advise. I have another question about the brake system. I have been using the Roadmaster 9160 kit. I have read that the new Ford Expedition may need a pneumatic pressure reducer to function correctly without damaging the braking system of the Expedition. Do you know if this is the case? Is the car's braking system an "active system" that provides power braking operation when the engine is not operating? I guess in that case the pressure on the brake pedal will be too great? Thanks
