Electrical Parts Needed To Flat Tow a 2026 Ford Expedition Max Platinum

Question:
I just bought a 2026 Ford Expedition Max Platinum. I already have the hitch and Blue Ox towbars on my Tiffin Motor Coach. I have the BLU76CR baseplate kit in my cart and the BX 8848 wiring kit. Unlike my last Toad it appears I need a battery tender line. What is the least expensive option to keep my battery charged? I also use a Patriot model BRK2012 brake system. What wiring kit do I need for that? Lastly, not even sure if you can help on this. I need to figure out if this Expedition has any USB or 12volt socket that stays hot with ignition off or if I need to add a power source. Any help on that is appreciated. Thank you so much, in advance, for your help. It is very much appreciated!

Hey, George!
First off, congrats on the new Expedition. Definitely sounds like some exciting adventures are ahead of you!
Since you already have the baseplate kit part # BLU76CR and the Blue Ox diode kit part # BX8848 there are several more parts you will need for the electrical side including the charge line kit you are looking for and the 12v outlet kit you will also need. I'll list those below for you.
- RoadMaster 6-Wire Trailer Connector - Vehicle End - Part #
- Roadmaster Electrical Socket Bracket - Part # RM-910030-5
- 12 Volt Outlet Kit - Part # RM-9332
- Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit - Part # RM-156-25
- Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit - Part # RM-88400 (This prevents the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn)
It sounds like you have flat towed before so I'm unsure if you also have a 6-way round umbilical, if you don't you would also want to get part # RM88BQ. If you already do then you can just disregard.
Are you a full time RVer or more of a casual/seasonal RVer?
