Question:
Hi, I’m looking for anti-sway bars/hitch for my new trailer. It’s an Alcom EZ-Hauler with an aluminum frame. Will a Curt 17063 work? I don’t want to drill into the frame. Thanks, Wes

Hey Wes,
The ability to use a weight distribution hitch on an aluminum frame is determined by the trailer manufacturer so you would need to contact them to confirm that one could be used first. The Curt MV Weight Distribution System w/ Friction Sway Control # C17063 friction sway control bar would still need to be bolted to the frame but the mounting brackets of the spring bars would be able to just clamp to the frame. This is rated for 1,000lbs - 1,400lbs of tongue weight so you'll want to measure your fully loaded tongue weight in order to determine if this is the correct capacity. If not then let me know and I can look for the right fit.

Hey Wes, were you able to check with Alcom about using a weight distribution hitch on your EZ-Hauler’s aluminum frame? Knowing what they said could really help others with similar trailers. Your update could make it easier for the next person facing the same question.
