Does MaxxAir Replacement RV Roof Vent Circuit Board Come with Coating to Protect Against Humidity

Question:

Does this MA10A04751KS board need to be sprayed with Conformal Coating for Electronics to protect it from humidity? Or, has it already been sealed?

Hey Alan, this is a great question that we have reached out to MaxxAir about in the past and they do have a coating on the circuit board of the # MA10A04751KS to protect it from humidity.

Thank you for your advice. I installed the new MA10A04751KS circuit board in my 2015 Grand Design 350M MaxxFan Plus 4-Speed Roof Vent (04751KS) tor replace my failed circuit board. My setup has a 4 speed wall switch. Testing shows that the new circuit board works with the wall switch except now my fan only has only 3 speeds instead of 4. The highest speed (900 CFM) does not work with the new circuit board. So, now that I have "upgraded" to the new MA10A04751KS circuit board and have lost the 900 CFM fan speed, I am wondering if I need to order the Replacement Wall Control Panel for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent Item # MA59FR, or perhaps order the Replacement Keypad for MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent Item # MA48GR, in order to take advantage of the MA10A04751KS circuit board capabilities i.e. 10 speeds, reversible, auto mode, etc.??

@AlanC Yes you do need the replacement control panel and keypad to take advantage of all of the features like you mentioned. You need the part # MA48GR and the # MA59FR
