Question:
Looking for a replacement gas strut for the dormer on my 2019 Aliner Classic. The original part is American Gas Springs IC1301040. Its 23 extended, but I dont know the lifting pounds, and havent been able to find a specification. Any suggestions?

Hey Robert, I wasn't able to find anything on that strut but does it loos like we carry a bunch of 23" long gas struts, like # 3691879-70 which you could potentially use. This particular gas strut is 23' long extended, has a 70 lb compression force, and uses a 10mm ball socket.
If you have something different let me know, and we can find a better replacement.

Bryce, Well, thank you for getting back to me. I was able to contact Aliner and found out that the part number is actually an Aliner part number. Apparently American Gas Spring is out of business. I also found out that the strut is 90 lb compression force, and sorry, but I already ordered a pair elsewhere. I'll definitely keep etrailer.com in mind for future camper part needs. Regards, Bob
