Question:
Jeep Cherokee base curb weight 4100 lbs with tow package 4500 lbs / 450 lbs at hitch. Pulling a travel trailer 2025 lbs UVW / 277 lbs at hitch. Assuming you added cargo in the trailer the hitch weight goes to 300. What is the best weight distribution hitch with sway control?

In order to choose the correct weight distribution system, you will need to find the total tongue weight (TTW) of your towing setup by adding the tongue weight (TW) of both your loaded ready to tow trailer and any cargo stored behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
An easy way to find this would involve using a tongue weight scale like the etrailer Trailer Tongue Weight Scale part # e99044. When choosing a weight distribution system, you will want your TTW to fall in the middle of the weight distributions weight capacity. For example, the ideal weight distribution system for a total tongue weight of 600 lbs. is one that is rated for 400-800 lbs. of tongue weight.
For a TTW up to 450 lbs, I recommend using the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control part # FA92-00-0450. The Fastway system has trunnion spring bars which offer greater ground clearance than round spring bars and has 2-point sway control which will work to minimize trailer sway as it occurs.
The only other item you will need to use this system is a hitch ball with a 1" diameter shank and for that I recommend part # 40038 for 2" or part # C40007 for 2-5/16". I have attached a review video of this system for you as well.
