Hello Chris. The Curt # C28KR ball platform for the Rebellion XD will NOT fit on a # C17132 weight distribution shank. The channel isn't wide enough. The channel is about 1-1/2 inches wide, and the WD shank is 2" wide. The C28KR ball platform is only compatible with the Curt Rebellion XD ball mount, which is currently unavailable.
If you want to use the # C17132 WD shank to tow, I suggest simply using the head unit and ball from your weight distribution hitch. If you need a new head unit, I recommend the Curt Replacement Weight Distribution Head # C17307.

So glad this person asked this. I see the recommended ball mount, you suggested. I have been looking for something to put a 1 7/8" ball, on to. The mount you recommend seems excessive. There are NO other options allowing to utilize the same shank?
