Clarifying 28mm Measurement For MCD Innovations RV Shade Repair Kit

Question:

I need a repair kit for an MCD RV shade. The appropriate product appears to be MC64SR. My question is the diameter of 28mm. Is this the actual diameter of the coiled metal spring or is this the outside diameter of the black end piece. Thanks for your help. dave

Hey Dave! The 28mm measurement is the internal diameter of the spring. If your spring has a 28mm inside diameter (approximately 1-1/8") then the # MC64SR is the correct repair kit. This is a medium kit so it is designed for shades between 38" and 55" wide shades, make sure that matches up as well.

What kind of RV or trailer do you have?
