Could Access Door for RVs part # 37210-31015 be Used on RV Water Tank

Question:

I need to get inside my water tank to clean out some masty substances from sitting. Can I cut this in the very top of my frsh water tank so I can get in there? Access Door for RVs - 5-3/4 Diameter - Black Item 37210-31015

Hey Thomas, yeah you could install and use the Access Door for RVs part # 37210-31015 the way you described and it would work well. It is waterproof so in the future it wouldn't leak either.

I installed one of these access covers in my Rv for shore power cord it is a 4” same outside diameter as the one you have with an opening of 4” and cutout is 4.5”. I was wandering if you had any replacement o rings for something like this. As the one I installed the o ring came out of the flange an now has a slight tear in the o ring. The one I installed is a valterra. Thanks.

@JamesonC Was wandering if you knew where I could find a replacement O’Ring for this 4” acre in deck plate lid. As the kne I have it has a slight tear in the o ring. Thanks.
