1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Today we're gonna take a look at the Sendel 13 inch by five inch Series T17 Matte Black Aluminum Trailer Wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rust proof. And we mentioned, it's the Sendel Series T17, which is a mesh style designed wheel with a matte black finish to it.
The front and even the back of wheel are clear coated. This is a high quality wheel. It does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specification, and the SAEJ 1204 standards. Now if you notice, this wheel does not come with a center cap. If you do one center caps, we do sell those separately.
You just wanna make sure when you buy your center cap that it'll match the diameter of this hole that it's going through. So the pilot hole diameter right here on this wheel is 3.19 inches. So you wanna make sure if you're getting a center cap, to get one that has that same diameter. A few dimensions on this we're gonna measure. The diameter of the wheel, which is always measured inside to inside is 13 inches.
So you can see if we take our tape measure, and if we go across, you'll be able to see there's your 13 inch diameter. The width will be the same way when you measured it. It's bead seat to bead seat. So inside to inside, there's your five inch width. Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern.
And if you wanna measure the bolt pattern on a wheel that's an odd number of lugs, in this case, five, what you want to do is to measure it, just pick any hole. Let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across to either this hole, or to this one. Whichever one you want. But the key is when you measure it, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. So the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge on this wheel would measure four and a half inches. So that means this is a five lug, four and a half inch bolt pattern. It does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 1,660 pounds. But that should do it for the review on this Sendel 13 inch by five inch Series T17 Matte Black Aluminum Trailer Wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern.
