Question:

Unsure of all parts needed? I have a 2022 Subaru Outback with factory install tow bracket and factory 4 way wiring plug. I’m installing the Tekonsha Prodigy RF wireless brake controller. In my trailer cart I have 7 way adapter ETBC7L. I watched the etrailer YouTube install video and I see a no drill bracket - part 18140 is also added. Is this no drill bracket an absolute necessary part for the 7 way adapter on a 2022 Outback with factory 4 way and tow hitch? Or - is the extra bracket just another option for the install location? I’m unsure if this part is required. I’ve added it to my cart but don’t want to unnecessarily spend another $$ if it isn’t needed. Thanks.

Hey Steve, thanks for reaching out!

The No-Drill Mount # 18140 is only necessary if you don't already have a way or place to attach the mounting bracket that comes with the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L, otherwise the bracket and 4-Way/7-Way socket will just be dangling at the back of your 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon.
