Replacement Actuator for 2002 Ranger Trail Bass Boat Trailer

Updated 04/28/2024 | Published 04/26/2024

Question:

I have an 02 Ranger Trail Bass boat trailer. I need to replace Tongue/, Actuator Assembly and I have VIN and Specs for the trailer. Was wondering with that info would your company have the Part I need? I assume these Trailers need a specific Tongue Assembly

If you need a replacement tongue that isn't something that we offer. You can see if the manufacturer offers a replacement since it looks like it folds. If they don't have a replacement you would have to take it to a shop that could add a new tongue along with a coupler hinge kit like # FHDPB330301 to keep the folding functionality.

I can't do much with the VIN but it does look like that has a Dexter A-60 in the end of it based on the pictures I found. If you're able to remove the actuator and check for any identification that would be helpful. You could also respond to the email with the link for this page with any pictures if you have them.

The # DX29FR you were looking at is designed to bolt onto a 3" x 4" trailer tongue and works with disc brakes. If that is an A-60 like this one it is likely the Inner Member # DX99FR which doesn't have the housing.
