Compatibility of Dexter DX99FR Inner Member for Disc Brake Actuator with Ranger Boat Trailer

Question:

I have a 2009 Ranger Z520 bass boat and I am in need of a new hitch. The hitch or actuator slides into the swing arm and has surge brakes on the tandem axle trailer. I saw an ad for the replacement inner member, Dexter DX7.5L, item DX99FR. Would this work as a replacement for my hitch?

I have no way of looking up which actuator your boat trailer was equipped with, as the trailer manufacturers don't make that database information public.

If your Ranger boat trailer uses the Dexter DX7.5 Disc Brake Actuator, the # DX99FR would be the correct replacement inner member. The outer housing should have manufacturer's info stamped on it or a sticker to identify it.
