Weight Distribution for Truck with Lift Kit and Trailer that Weighs 8,000 lb

Hi, I have a 2017 Ford F150 XLT SuperCrew with a 6” lift, 35” Tires. My truck is rated to tow 5000 without WDH, 11,000 with WDH. Is there a WDH specifically for lifted trucks? I estimate the max trailer weight will be 8000 24ft car hauler with 2 SXS’s. I believe I will need a 10” for my specific trailer. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hey Jeremy, for trucks that are lifted like yours are the best solution is a WD system that has a longer drop shank with it so that the trailer can be towed level. So the Curt shank part # C17132 that you mentioned would have the needed drop but it fits 2-1/2 inch hitches unlike what your F-150 would have.
So the Equal-i-zer part # EQ90-00-1001 would work great as it has a tongue weight range of 600 to 1,000 lbs and is widely considered to be the best system around. Then for a shank the part # C17123 would be a great option that would provide the needed drop.
