Best budget replacement for Norcold 1210T RV fridge

Question:

We have a Norcold 1210T refrigerator freezer that is not working we have had it worked on and worked for awhile now it stopped working. The measurement is 33 wide 64 height not sure the depth. Can you suggest a model that will work. We do not want to spend a tone of money but we realize they are specialize appliances. Thank you Rosann

Hi Rosann, I’m really glad you reached out because I know how frustrating it is to keep dealing with a fridge that works for a while and then quits again.

Based on your 33" by 64" opening and wanting to keep things budget-friendly, I recommend the GE 9.8 cubic foot 12V refrigerator part # GE58FR. It’s a really solid, reliable option. This one measures about 23-5/8" wide, 59-1/2" tall, and 25-1/4" deep, so it is slightly smaller than your current fridge. Since your Norcold is about 24" deep, this one will stick out roughly an inch more, so I just want to set that expectation up front. Most installs like this use simple trim or filler panels on the sides and top to give it a clean, finished look, and that’s very common.

The big advantage with this GE unit is that it’s a 12V compressor fridge, which means it cools more consistently and tends to be much more dependable than the propane style systems, especially after you’ve already had to deal with repairs.
