Roof Rack and Kayak Carrier Recommendation for 2024 Subaru Forester with Raised Roof Rails

Hi there, I am hoping you may be able to help me. I’m looking for cross bars for my 2024 Forester not Wilderness to carry 2 kayaks 13’ long and 35” wide tandem and a smaller 10’ 29” solo. I am hoping to carry them side by side on my roof, rather than using J bars. Do you have a recommendation for which cross bars / what size I should purchase to fit those two? Thank you, Dimitri

Hey Dimitri, so your best option would be a roof rack with longer crossbars like the Malone part # MAL84AR that fits the raised rails on the roof of your 2024 Subaru Forester. This will give you crossbars that are 58 inches long.
Then to carry each of the kayaks you could use the LockRack Surf Ski Carrier part # LR28FR which can attach to the top channel of the Malone rack and you'd be set. You'd need two of these racks.
