Question:
So even with the EcoHitch installed, you will only ever have the 200 LB tongue weight maximum capacity even though the hitch has a 300 LB TW rating, correct? The only benefit over the Curt 11356 is that you will have a 2" receiver, right? Thanks, Tom J.

Expert Reply:
So the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7301 is rated for up to 300lbs of tongue weight with a 2" receiver opening. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11356 is only going to have a 1-1/4" opening but is rated for 200lbs. If you had to use an Adapter # HTAD to use with a 2" accessory, that would lower the maximum tongue weight by 50% to 100lbs. So if you used a 2" hitch accessory then you would want to go with the EcoHitch for the added capacity.
