Air Lift Compressor Keeps Blowing 15 amp Fuse - What Can I Do?
Updated 04/19/2024 | Published 04/18/2024 >
Question:
I just purchased a 2020 Ford F350 Lariat SRW, it has the Wireless One system installed W/O compressor. There was a 20 Amp fuse installed in the line that comes directly from the battery that was blown. From what I have read it is supposed to be a 15 Amp fuse installed in that line. I switched out the fuse to a 15 and connected to the Wireless One in the app, when I tried to lower the pressure it popped the fuse. I installed a 20 and it also popped, so I installed a 25 and it deflated the bags 1 PSI as I only lowered the pressure in the app down 1 PSI. I checked the ground, cleaned it and tried the 15 and 20 again and it still pops. Is there something that I may be missing to check? Thank you for you assistance.

Hello Jon. I just went over all of this with my contact at Air Lift. He concluded that unfortunately your compressor is bad and you will need to file a warranty claim. Also, after the compressor is changed, you may need a new wiring harness as well due to the bigger fuse possibly frying the harness. Air Lift prefers to handle warranty claims directly, so just give them a call and they can assist you further.
