I have a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500hd with an 82 inch bed how far back should the rail be from the end of the bed? I am installing a demo 18k auto slide 5th wheel hitch

Hey Scott, to place the rear rail of the Demco fifth wheel rail kit part # DM39FR in the bed of your 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed you will measure 32-1/8 inches from the rear edge of the truck bed to the center of the rear rail. Once that's set you'd want to use the hitch # DM8550034 to place the front rail by setting it in the rear rail. This ensures the rails are placed perfectly for the hitch, but it will be right at 22 inches in front of the rear rail.
