Question:

Is this the correct leaf spring replaement for the Dexter 1750 4-leaf 26inch 072-042 ? It looks like my 2021 Jayco has 3500lb dual axels and this leaf spring is listed for a 4000lb axel. Thank you.

The length Dexter posts for their leaf springs is the flattened length, so with the 072-042 having a length of 26" you would want to compare that to our 25-1/4" long springs as we measure their length with the spring relaxed. The 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e57SR would be the size you want to look at. This is also a spring rated for a 4,000lb axle but it can be used and will just be a little stiffer and likely last longer than your current springs. You would need to change all your springs to make the change since using different capacity springs is not good for the trailers suspension.
