What is the Tongue Weight Capacity of the etrailer Hitch for a 2023 Honda Pilot?

Question:

I already have a dealer installed OEM hitch, but it appears that the etrailer hitch has a higher tongue weight capacity when used with WDH Camco R3. Would replacing the receiver hitch make a difference if my trailer has a tongue weight of around 600-650 loaded?

The etrailer Hitch item # e27KR has a maximum tongue weight of 900 lbs when used with a weight distribution system. The limiting factor here is going to be your 2023 Pilot's actual tongue weight capacity. I have no information on the capabilities of the OEM hitch but you will want to go to your owner's manual or contact Honda and find out what your Pilot's tongue weight capacity is.
