Question:
Last year I installed all new wiring and led lights on my boat trailer One tail light has already failed and the wiring has such small and thin strands that it has already started to deteriorate Bolts that hold lights to trailer has already become corroded and break, all this after 1 year Looking for recommendations for trailer lights and wiring that are used about 50/50 in salt and fresh water , they need to be submersible

A common light kit for boat trailers is the Optronics Fleet LED Trailer Tail Lights w/ Grommets # TLL12RK which measure 6-1/2" long x 2-5/16" tall for the light face and are submersible. It's best to make your wiring connections with something like the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector Kit # DW05744-10 because they seal up the connections better than standard butt connectors.
If these lights don't match the dimensions of what you currently have please let me know what you have and I'll be happy to see if we have something else that matches better!
It's important to note that you'll want to wash off your trailer with fresh water after being in and near salt water just to help with longevity since salt water eats away at trailers faster than fresh water.

Mine are small square lights in size and the have 2 bolts sticking out the back, and I’m also wanting input on better trailer wiring, what I installed was way smaller than what I took off of it. The strands are super thin, much smaller gauge of wire
