Is There A Hitch Made Specifically For The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness?

Question:

The current available hitches for the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek do not sit flush with the bumper of the Crosstrek Wilderness edition. The crossbar and tongue sit approximately 2 inches lower than the bumper cover. The Crosstrek Wilderness bumper sits higher and cut at a steeper angle for more ground clearance than the regular Crosstrek for the same and previous years. Is your company working on a better fit for the 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness edition? Being that the Crosstrek is one of the most sold subcompact SUV in American at the moment and this is the first year for the Crosstrek Wilderness, I’m going to bet the hitch will be the most sold accessory for it since there are none currently available. Please message me when or if your company makes one.

Hey Sandy you are absolutely correct about the bumper/design differences with the Crosstrek Wilderness edition. As of right now (February 2024) none of our manufacturers (Curt, Draw-Tite, Stealth Hitch) make a hitch specifically for the Wilderness edition. I did check with my contact at Curt, and I was told that at this time, there is nothing on the drawing board specifically for the Wilderness edition, but that could always change as demand increases.

The hitch we are currently recommending for the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness is the etrailer class 3 hitch # e98912, or the Draw-Tite Class 3 Hitch # 76209. Both of these hitches will be a direct bolt-on fit for the Wilderness model, but when installed on the wilderness edition, they will be visible underneath the bumper. The picture below shows a good example of what it will look like installed.
