Question:

Does the detachable receiver lock to the hitch or bolt to it? We have an expensive bike rack and would love to ensure it is locked to the receiver and that the receiver is locked to the hitch.

Expert Reply:

The receiver on the EcoHitch Stealth Hitch # TL84CR bolts on. There is no lock available to keep it from being removed. However, if you look at the picture below you will see that the attachment point is hidden. Unless someone knows you specifically have the EcoHitch with a removable receiver they will not be able to tell that it can be detached. If it is still a concern I recommend getting the Curt # C38DR instead.
