Question:
Hello, I have a 2007 Keystone Montana 300rk. I need to replace the fabric. Flange to flange its 154 inches. Should I add an additional 6 inches for a total of 160 inches when buying the new fabric? I was told that there should be an extra 3 inches on each side. Also, Im looking to add a slide topper to the bedroom slide. Flange to flange its 87 inches. Should I add an additional 6 inches for a total of 93 inches? Thank you.

Okay, so starting with the replacement awning fabric, what you do to get the right one is measure from center to center of your awning arms, and go off that. You don't want to add any additional inches, the fabric will actually be narrower than the awning arms. For example, if you measured from center to center of your awning arms and got 156 inches (13 feet), and you had a Solera, Dometic A&E, or Carefree of Colorado awning you would get the 145 inch Replacement 12'1" Fabric for 13' RV Awning - Universal - Solid Black # LCV000334368.
A visual aide is always nice so I have linked a video below which shows this, and hopefully that gives a good idea of exactly what you need to do. I'll also link our entire selection of awning fabric which you can filter through by size to make it easy.
The slide topper is easy though, as you already have that down pat; you just need to measure the flange to flange distance (outer edge to outer edge of the trim), which you did with 87 inches. So long as you have 7 inches of clearance on the side, the correct slide topper is the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning - 91" Wide - White # LCV000163288 or Black # LCV000168106.
