Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look at a Lippert hub bearing kit for 2,200 pound trailer axles. So folks, trailer bearings, as you know, they do need to be replaced from time to time and they're the main thing that's going to keep your wheels spinning smoothly, efficiently, reducing heat, et cetera. And that's what you really need to make sure you're checking every single time that you go out, in my opinion. But obviously a lot of people don't check them every time, that's totally fine. You need to at least check them twice a year, I would say at least, just to be safe.
And you want to make sure you're repacking them whenever the time comes. If you notice any kind of like mix or burrs inside of anything, you definitely want to get them replaced. It may seem like a small thing, but anytime where you have something where dirt or friction can build up, the heat is what's going to be the number one thing that kills bearings and creates failure. So as you know, this bearing's gonna get pumped full of grease or packed with grease. It'll go inside the race.
The race will be pressed into place of the hub and then your grease seal will go on the backside of the hub followed by your tank washer and your cotter pin out the front end. So everything here is a high quality alloy blend. So that's gonna help reduce vibration and extend the bearing lives. The inner and outer bearing in this particular kit are the same number, that's an L44649. And the inner and outer race as well is the same number.
It's an L44610. And then you have the grease seal here as well as the tank washer and the cotter pin. So again, folks, this is primarily for a 2,200 pound axle. Make sure you're always double checking your bearing numbers, race numbers, et cetera, to be sure you're matching up 100% the same stuff. I'm Steven with etrailer.
