Question:

I have a 2 5/8 trailer hitch built into my Ram 2500 and then a 2 sleeve that I use for my trailer. The bike rack INH 110 fits nicely into the 2 sleeve and then tightens with the handle. But the only thing, apparently, holding the 2 sleeve into the 2 5/8 Ram hitch is the little pin that is turned 90 degrees to inter the hole. What am I missing here? Is there a product that will improve this connection? Or does the locking mechanism also create a snug fit into the 2 5/8 hitch?

You aren't missing anything whatsoever. Due to the way the Inno Tire Hold Bike Rack for 1 Bike # INH110 mounts, the only thing holding the 2 inch sleeve in your 2-1/2 inch hitch is the safety pin of the Tire Hold. Basically if it were a standard 2 inch hitch, tightening the Tire Hold's handle, like you mentioned, would help secure it in the hitch along with the safety pin, but with a sleeve, that doesn't happen.

There isn't a product that will improve that specific connection, and I would recommend using a 2-1/2 to 2 inch adapter and extender. You'd put the adapter in your 2-1/2 inch hitch and then the # INH110 in the adapter.

You could use Trailer Hitch Reducer and Extender - 2-1/2" to 2" Trailer Hitch # e53YR and secure it with Hitch Pin # 337HP6256WC or Hitch Lock # e98881.
