I have a 2022 Forest River 296QBLE travel trailer. We would like to haul our generator 200# on the back of the trailer and need a recommendation on a frame mounted hitch and carrier. Or bumber is not rated to have any weight beyond the spare tire and bumper mounted hitches wont be compatible for the weight.

Best option would be a multi fit hitch like the Curt # 13703 which would attach to the travel trailer frame. This basically fits all frame styles as long as the frame is between 22 and 72 inches apart. I highly recommend going with a non-folding carrier for the best overall stability since travel trailers are a bit rougher than vehicles with the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # C18152. This has a 500 lb capacity and the Curt mentioned has a 350 lb tongue weight capacity.
