Question:
I have a 2024 Grand Design Imagine 2970RL. I’m wanting to mount a hitch on the back strong enough to pull my boat. Roughly 250-300lbs tongue weight and 1800-2000lbs total. What would you guys recommend?

Hey Kolton. To add a hitch to your 2024 Grand Design Imagine 2970RL, I recommend the Curt item # 13703. This is a universal hitch that bolts or welds directly to your Grand Design's frame. The include brackets can be adjusted to fit frames from 22" to 72" wide.
The Curt item # 13703 is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and includes all hardware necessary to complete the installation. I linked an installation video below so you can see how to get this hitch set up.
To control your boat trailer's lights, you'll need the Curt 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector w/ 60" Harness and Wire Taps item # C58044. You'll need to use a circuit tester like item # PTW2992 to locate and the stop/turn signal circuit.
What kind of boat do you have?

I have a 1547 Edge Waco and a Tohatsu M40D on a diamond city trailer, roughly 17ft. I’m between the curt bolt on or having a welder/fabricator weld a whole setup on the back.
