Can I Use the Hollywood Racks RV Rider in a Class II 2 Hitch?

Question:

Will this bike work in a 2" hitch that isn't a class III hitch? Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount Item # HLY64FR

No, it will not but I have one that will. The Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack item # HLY64FR is only rated for class III 2" hitches that have a minimum 350 lbs tongue weight capacity. Physically it will fit but you shouldn't do it plus you'll void the warranty and lose any liability coverage.

Instead, I recommend using the Thule EasyFold XT item # TH903202. The EasyFold has a similar frame mount design. It has a 65 lbs per bike capacity and fits all class I, II, and III receivers no matter what size or tongue weight they have.

I have linked a review video below so you can see the functions of this bike rack demonstrated.
