Recommended Hitch And Cargo Carrier For A 2024 Mazda CX-50

Hello I am going to be putting a trailer hitch on my 2024 Maxda CX50. I need the hitch with the highest TW rating. I am also looking for a decent size cargo carrier. What do you recommend. Thanks

We can definitely help set you up. The best trailer hitch for your 2024 Mazda CX-50 as far as tongue weight is going to be the Curt Class 3 Hitch # C38BR. This hitch has a 525 lb tongue weight capacity, which is the highest available for your vehicle. So you will have plenty of capacity for a hitch mounted cargo carrier.

For a cargo carrier I recommend the 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier # 63153. Black powder coated steel construction makes it very durable. It can hold up to 500 lbs when evenly distributed. So you will be able to carry quite a bit of gear. We do recommend using a weatherproof cargo bag like the etrailer Cargo Bag # 988501. Or at the very least a cargo net # C18202 to secure your gear.

Hey Mike, so I checked with Curt and their hitch part number 13630 which is our part number #C33MJ does fit the 2025 Mazda CX-50 hybrid. Curt says this actually fits all models of the vehicle actually. What are you planning on using the hitch for?
