Question:

I have a 2017 f250 super duty short bed looking at an above bed rail system for a fifth wheel hitch. The RV trailer under 10,000. Don’t want to mess with taking the bed off. Not sure what hitches are compatible with what rail system. Please help don’t know anything about fifth wheel setup’s thanks.

For an above bed rail kit that fits your 2017 Ford F-250 you can use the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWRVK2402. These are industry standard rails (ISR) that are compatible with B&W Patriot, Curt, Demco, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, Reese, and Valley above-bed 5th-wheel hitches. This installation will not require removing the bed of your truck.

You will also want a sliding 5th wheel hitch if you don't already have one. For that I recommend the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3270. The Patriot features 3/4" thick dual jaws for a solid connection that will give you a safer, quieter ride. It also comes with a non-binding cam-action latch handle that makes it easy to release the jaws, even if you're on uneven terrain.
