While you will not have to drill mounting holes for the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e48AR on your 2023 Jeep Compass, you may have to increase the size of an access hole to insert the square hole spacers inside your frame. You will also need to trim a small portion of your rear fascia for the receiver tube.

I recommend installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C66BR when you install the receiver. This will give you a 4-way flat connector. This connector is the most commonly found connector most small trailers use and will also allow for Auxiliary Lights # C53201 if you use a hitch mounted accessory like a bike rack which impairs the view of your tail lights when loaded.
