the hitch & wiring are of the best quality,the installation (hitch),is rather difficult,& I had the use of a lift! The compass was apparently designed without regard for aftermarket appliances,... certainly not like the Jeeps of old. light kit was a breeze.

Was great and the video for installation was extremely helpful
hitch fit and finish is top notch, bolts and design is perfect and item fit just as it should EXCEPT for the hands free lift gate sensor. I looked through the entire product page, instructions and YouTube walk through, and never was this mention save one person that brought it up in a prior review. If installed, the sensor is in a large plastic bracket that is mounted exactly where the cross tube would otherwise be. Considered that the entire sensor assembly is one 2"*2" box and two ~24" strips of plastic coated wire, the assembly from the factory is comically oversized. I was able to duct tape those sensor wires back to the inside of the fascia, and zip tie the box out of the way, and so far it still works. that said, obviously waving your foot under the tailgate means hitting your shin on the hitch now.
Consider this a warning that you will have to do some improvisation if you have this feature on your car. the install instructions are otherwise perfect, but I would hope that the manufacture at least makes note of this on the website. If not for this hiccup, the job would have taken about 2 hours by myself.

Fits an very fast shipping
This hitch fit perfectly on our 2019 Jeep Compass. The instructions were very clear. After having the hitch for a year it still looks new. No peeling paint or rust. Very happy with all of my etrailer purchases!
I would definitely recommend removing the rear plastic clip and bumper to install. Don't have to drill and fish the bolts. Way easier. Great hitch, fit perfectly in 2025 Compass
After one year of owning it I can say that it is a very solid product, my one and only complaint is that the receiver needs to be about two inches longer to clear the rear bumper completely.

Great service. Hitch is well made, heavy duty piece. Fits as described and was easy to install.
So far so good... did have little issue with the install, but we think we are good.
Trailer hitch is a great product and fairly simple to install, I ran into an issue with the install with the hands free sensor. After looking at it I removed the cover from the sensor and also the fender shroud and just hand the connected sensor. I moved it aside and installed the hitch. After I installed the hitch I zip tied it to the bottom of the hitch cross member and so far it works.
Unfortunately the price went down a few days after I ordered it. They were not willing to give me the lower price
Definitely a two person job with some drilling/expanding of holes and a little cutting on the facia. Took my son and I 2-3 hours to get it done. Once complete it looks great! The hitch is hidden up under the facia except for the actual receiver. I've used etrailer for other vehicle and trailer projects and recommend them highly.
Overall great product and customer service. It took my friend and I about 2 hours to install, weather and well is not being as young as we used to be. But it is nice to have both my 2019 Jeep and now my wife’s 2021 with trailer hitches so we can use either or. I have purchased numerous items from trailer and never disappointed.
The product was perfect the shop did not have a problem installing. I think the video that you made was a great idea for the installation. Very happy with the outcome of hitch.
2020 Jeep Compass. Watched a video on the install and this far easier than they made it look. There is no fishing of bolts, no drilling. The 6 bolts are already there for your "crash bumper". Remove those, slide the hitch in, reinstall the bolts. Yes on dropping the muffler, and yes on trimming the heat shield. 10 being the hardest, I'll give it a 4.
Hitch is well built...beefy. Instructions are good. I did the recommended step of removing exhaust and glad I did. One item I did not see in the instructions is about the 2 brackets that secure the bottom fascia. I had to bend them out of the way so I could position the hitch inside the bumper cover and then bend them back. Took me 4 hours with the light assistance of my wife.
Fits great, your You Tube video is basically useless on this install, but it was easy enough to figure out, it might be best to just let folks know that the entire lower back end of their jeep has to come off they won’t try quite as hard as I’m sure most people do how to make it go in without taking the back off… helpful hint for anyone shopping the bumper cover and the bumper need to be removed it make this an easy install.
Excellent material, this will be my weekend project...photos will come to you when complete, all associated hardware made it to...superb packing, superb job on the tracking system, and to you and the ones that work there, standby, I will probably be buying more equipment from you...thank you and continue to produce the excellent products that make our vehicles and lives better than ever...these are photos of my vehicle before and I'll send photos after install...

Fast shipping, perfect fit (2024 Jeep Compass
Limited), and relatively straight forward install at home in the driveway (about an hour with another set of hands). Used a step bit to enlarge pre-existing hole and Dremel to trim heat shield and fascia. Definitely recommend watching the install instruction video to supplement included instructions. Very happy with purchase and with results!
