The underbody panel you're referring to can be placed back on, but you'll have to trim it around the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit # e87AR in order to get it to fit. It is a bit challenging with this vehicle so most people would just leave it off. It won't hurt anything if you do decide to leave it off.
