Are RV Sewer Pipes Permanently Attached by Glue
Question:
First time trailer owner here. We jumped in with a 1986 Komfort 21. It’s a definite fixer, but has been decently cared for. I’m relatively handy and prefer to do my own work. As you can see, I have the dreaded Blue Drip of Death ???? .... I am going to replace the entire assembly from the outlet of the black tank. I do have a clamp on the joint, but assume there is some sort of glue/cement as well. Is there a recommended technique to separate this joint? I’ll be replacing the gray tank as well Thanks for any help you can offer. RGM

When RV sewer pipes are attached they use a solvent like the # A05-0303 that permanently attaches the two pieces. There isn't a way to separate them and only option is to cut off the old section and glue on a new part.
