Where Is the Factory Plug Location for a 4-Way Trailer Harness On a 2019 Lincoln MKC
Published 09/19/2023 >
Question:
Hello, I purchased the Tri-Ball Hitch - Tubular Shank with Chrome Balls, Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2, and Hopkins Plug-In Simple Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. I have installed the receiver and ball hitch without issues but am having issues finding where I am supposed to plug in the Wiring Harness. In the previous comments I saw an expert say that for the 2019 Lincoln MKC it does not matter if you have the tow package or not there is a plug in on the drivers side of the receiver. Correct, the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Wiring Harness part # HM11140694 is a fit for all models of the 2019 Lincoln MKC whether you have the factory tow package or not which I confirmed with Hopkins for you. I have looked all over and cannot find where the plug in is for the wiring harness. I do not have the tow package and am wondering if that is the issue and the expert made a mistake saying that there is a plug in for this vehicle without the tow package? Any information would be helpful!

So I did some research and it turns out that the harness you're looking for, to plug in your Hopkins Plug-In Simple Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # HM11140694 is located inside the cargo area behind the closest trim panel to the liftgate on the driver side.
You're going to need a trim remover tool to pry and remove the rear panel. From here, you'll be able to spot the harness and can continue with the install.
