Can Blue Ox Patriot Operate Brakes of Vehicle if the Power Assist isn't On

Question:
James - Thank you very much for the expert advise you provided regarding 2016 Mini Cooper S and flat towing. My next question is about the braking system. When the Mini is in tow, its engine is turned off. How will the braking will work when the engine is off? Many Thanks!

The supplemental braking system Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR I recommended for your 2016 Mini Cooper S does not require your braking system to be "active" for it to operate the brakes. It will press the brake pedal hard enough to not need any power assist. Blue Ox has tested this system on your vehicle and found that it worked great too.
